So busy that I haven’t been keeping up with my posting here – which may get me on Santa’s Naughty List, hehe.  Mostly I’ve been busy trying to get a couple web sites up and running for some clients.  Hopefully I will get them both done before the holidays – we’ll see.

Other than work, I have been playing a little bit of LotRO and WAR when I get a couple spare minutes.  I’m already starting to remember why I left LotRO the last time around.  Yes, the game is beautiful to look at, but it’s a total PITA to solo.  Not quite as bad as DDO, but it’s still bad compared to the solo experience in WoW or WAR, or even DAoC.  So I think LotRO will be up on the chopping block soon.  Besides I’m getting my EVE deficiency shakes again, so I’ll probably go back to EVE right around the New Year.

I did work a bit on Part 1 of 3 of the “How to make a tarot deck” videos, but it turned out so bad that I’m kind of uninspired on that project for the moment.  I think I’m just getting too burned out from “real work” to do a personal project that also requires a lot of work – I want a vacation! LOL.  Hopefully, I’ll catch up on some much needed relaxation over the holidays. We’ll see.

I’ve also started yet another big personal project (that’ll probably never get done, lol) in trying to build a database of “Correspondences.”  In the occult world, a correspondence is how one concept relates to another, for example; Pisces the sign = Water the Element = The Moon tarot card, etc. The clincher is that not all authors agree on the correspondence, so I have to take that into account as well…

I’m doing this because I think it will be a great exercise in how to code and build MySQL tables that have complex “many-to-many” relationships, and to code PHP to take advantage of those tables. So far I’ve only got a couple of tables in the planning stages on paper. I may be ready to try coding them into MySQL later in the week – depending on how I decide to use my extremely limited free-time.

I guess that’s about it for now. If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to post again next weekend from my Mom’s house up in Utah.  In the mean time, I hope you’re having fun this season and Enjoy!
